पर्यावरण और सामाजिक विकास एसोसिएशन (ईएसडीए इंडिया), दिल्ली ने 8 से 12 नवंबर, 2025 तक बैंकॉक, थाईलैंड के अंबेसडर होटल में डॉ. भीम राव अंबेडकर कॉलेज, दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय, अमिटी विश्वविद्यालय हरियाणा, यूएन एनवायरनमेंट, मैरियम अबाचा अमेरिकन यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ नाइजर, त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालय काठमांडू, नेपाल, और जूलॉजिकल सोसाइटी ऑफ बांग्लादेश जैसे प्रतिष्ठित संस्थानों के सहयोग से 6वां विश्व पर्यावरण शिखर सम्मेलन 2025 का आयोजन किया।
इस शिखर सम्मेलन में 14 देशों के 538 प्रतिभागियों (122 भौतिक, 416 वर्चुअल) ने भाग लिया, जिनमें शिक्षाविद, वैज्ञानिक, चिकित्सा पेशेवर, नीति निर्माता, अनुसंधान विद्वान, पर्यावरणविद्, शिक्षाविद्, पत्रकार, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता, सिविल सोसाइटी, औद्योगिक प्रतिनिधि और छात्र शामिल थे। इस विविध वैश्विक विशेषज्ञों और उत्साही लोगों के समूह ने प्रेसिंग पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों पर विचार, विशेषज्ञता और सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं को साझा किया, जिससे शिखर सम्मेलन की स्थिति एक प्रमुख पर्यावरणीय मंच के रूप में मजबूत हुई।
ईएसडीए इंडिया पर्यावरणीय समर्थन में एक अग्रणी शक्ति है, जो विश्व पर्यावरण शिखर सम्मेलन को प्रस्तुत करता है, जो एक प्रमुख आयोजन है जिसने वैश्विक मान्यता प्राप्त की है। डॉ. जितेंद्र नागर, महासचिव, ईएसडीए इंडिया और डॉ. भीम राव अंबेडकर कॉलेज में सहायक प्रोफेसर, ने 2020 में इसकी शुरुआत के बाद से इस शिखर सम्मेलन को एक प्रतिष्ठित पर्यावरणीय मंच में विकसित किया है। पिछले पांच संस्करणों में, शिखर सम्मेलन ने 3500+ प्रतिनिधियों, विचारक वक्ताओं और शोधकर्ताओं को एक साथ लाया है, जिससे अर्थपूर्ण चर्चा और सहयोग को बढ़ावा मिला है। शिखर सम्मेलन का प्रभाव गहरा रहा है, जिसकी स्थिति अब संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा आयोजित एक प्रतिष्ठित आयोजन, अर्थ शिखर सम्मेलन के समान है।
माननीय मंत्री, मालदीव के मत्स्य और महासागर संसाधन राज्य मंत्री, एच.ई. डॉ. अमज़ाथ अहमद ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में उद्घाटन सत्र में भाग लिया, जो पर्यावरणीय चुनौतियों का सामना करने में वैश्विक सहयोग के महत्व पर जोर देता है। अपने मुख्य भाषण में, डॉ. अहमद ने मालदीव के समुद्री संसाधनों की रक्षा और स्थायी मत्स्य प्रबंधन को बढ़ावा देने के प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला, जो जलवायु परिवर्तन और जैव विविधता के नुकसान के प्रभावों को कम करने के लिए सामूहिक कार्रवाई की आवश्यकता को दर्शाता है। उन्होंने जोर दिया कि पर्यावरणीय स्थिरता एक साझा जिम्मेदारी है, जिसके लिए सरकारों, नागरिक समाज और निजी क्षेत्र के बीच सहयोग की आवश्यकता है।
डॉ. भीम राव अंबेडकर कॉलेज, दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के प्रिंसिपल, प्रो. सदा नंद प्रसाद ने संरक्षक के रूप में सभा को संबोधित किया, जो कॉलेज की पर्यावरणीय स्थिरता और शैक्षिक उत्कृष्टता के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता पर प्रकाश डालता है। उन्होंने प्रेसिंग पर्यावरणीय मुद्दों का सामना करने में अंतःविषय अनुसंधान और वैश्विक सहयोग के महत्व पर जोर दिया, यह देखते हुए कि कॉलेज सक्रिय रूप से पर्यावरण-अनुकूल पहलों को बढ़ावा दे रहा है और छात्रों को इस क्षेत्र में अनुसंधान करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित कर रहा है। प्रो. प्रसाद ने यह भी कहा कि शैक्षिक संस्थानों को पर्यावरणीय नीतियों को आकार देने और स्थायी विकास को बढ़ावा देने में सक्रिय भूमिका निभानी चाहिए।
डॉ. जितेंद्र के नागर, आयोजन सचिव, ने कहा, “यह शिखर सम्मेलन पर्यावरणीय स्थिरता पर वैश्विक सहयोग के लिए एक निर्णायक क्षण है। हम एक स्वच्छ, हरित भविष्य की ओर एक रास्ता बनाने के लिए विचारक, विशेषज्ञ और नेताओं को एक साथ ला रहे हैं। हमारी चर्चा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा को बढ़ावा देने, पर्यावरण-अनुकूल प्रथाओं को बढ़ावा देने और हमारे ग्रह के मूल्यवान पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र की रक्षा करने पर केंद्रित होगी। कार्रवाई का समय अब है – हम खुद को, अपने बच्चों और भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के लिए जिम्मेदार हैं। आइए प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण का मुकाबला करने, स्वच्छ हवा और पानी सुनिश्चित करने और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा को सभी के लिए एक वास्तविकता बनाने के लिए एकजुट हों।”

The Environment and Social Development Association (ESDA India), Delhi, successfully organized the 6th World Environment Summit 2025, a flagship international Conference, Awards, and workshop on November 8th to 12th, 2025, at Ambassador Hotel Bangkok, Thailand, in collaboration with esteemed institutions such as Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, Amity University Haryana, UN Environment, Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Tribhuvan University Kathmandu, Nepal, and Zoological Society of Bangladesh.
The summit witnessed a remarkable gathering of 538 participants (122 physical, 416 virtual) from 14 countries, comprising academicians, scientists, medical professionals, policymakers, research scholars, environmentalists, educationists, journalists, social activists, civil societies, industrial representatives, and students. This diverse assembly of global experts and enthusiasts shared insights, expertise, and best practices on pressing environmental issues, reinforcing the summit’s position as a premier platform for environmental discourse.
ESDA India stands tall as a pioneering force in environmental advocacy, proudly presenting the World Environment Summit, a flagship event that has earned global recognition. Conceived and spearheaded by Dr. Jitendra Nagar, General Secretary of ESDA India and Assistant Professor at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, the summit has evolved into a prestigious platform for environmental discourse since its inception in 2020. Over the past five editions, the summit has brought together a staggering 3500+ delegates, visionary speakers, and researchers from across the globe, fostering meaningful discussions and collaborations. The summit’s impact has been profound, with its stature now rivaling the esteemed Earth Summit, an iconic event organized by the United Nations.
H.E. Dr. Amzath Ahmed, Honourable Minister of State for Fisheries and Ocean Resources, Maldives, graced the inaugural session as Chief Guest, emphasizing the importance of global cooperation in addressing environmental challenges. Prof. Sada Nand Prasad, Principal of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, addressed the gathering as Patron, highlighting the college’s commitment to environmental sustainability and academic excellence. He emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary research and global cooperation in addressing pressing environmental issues.
Dr. Jitendra K Nagar, Organizing Secretary, stated, “This summit is a pivotal moment for global collaboration on environmental sustainability. We’re bringing together visionaries, experts, and leaders to forge a path towards a cleaner, greener future. Our discussions will focus on accelerating renewable energy, promoting eco-friendly practices, and protecting our planet’s precious ecosystems. The time for action is now – we owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations to act.”
He further emphasized, “The clock is ticking, and the future is in our hands. We must prioritize vulnerable communities, protect biodiversity, and restore natural habitats. The Amazon, Congo, and Great Barrier Reef are beckoning for our urgent attention. Let’s unite to combat plastic pollution, ensure clean air and water, and make clean energy a reality for all.”
Dr. Nagar passionately declared, “The 6th World Environment Summit 2025 sends a clear message: humanity must awaken. We’re not just observers; we’re architects of change. The future isn’t something we await; it’s something we create. Let’s co-create a world where economic growth and environmental protection coexist in harmony.
